How Having an Official Tribe Can Make a Difference in Your Blog’s Success

Sharing is caring!

If you’ve been blogging for a while, chances are you have a group of online friends that you engage with. They may comment on your blog posts, tweet with you, perhaps even like something here and there on your Facebook page. They are your unofficial tribe, and they are really important to the success of your blog. If you’re just getting started or are looking to expand your tribe, you might want to check out my recent post on how to create a tribe of online friendships.

But what I want to talk about today is how formalizing things can maximize the benefits of what a tribe can do for it’s members.

Formalizing Your Tribe

If you’ve got an “end game” (as Tiffany Romero from the SITS Girls often says) of what you want to accomplish with your blog, your traffic makes a big difference to you! And this is where having an official tribe can really help. Vinma of A Momless Mom asked me the other day if I could share some social media tips with her readers, and so today you’ll find me over there at her place sharing how to formalize your tribe and set some ground rules for success! I’d be honored if you’d come visit me over there. Let us know if you think this would work for you!

Hopefully they helped! I am such a list person too -- so many things I want to do, so little time!

Loved your guest post, Michelle!! So much that I wish I had known before I started blogging - I went in completely blind (and unprepared) and now I'm swimming in the sea of all the things I need to do! Thanks for always sharing and teaching me so much about the whole social media world/community!!!
