Personalized Christmas Gift Tags {Guest Post}

Sharing is caring!

Good day Dish of Daily Life fans! My name is Jennifer, and I blog over at PinkWhen. It’s a little blog that focuses on the DIY projects and yummy recipes. You can find things like Making an Herb Garden from a Pallet, or even a delicious Sugared Pecan Recipe and gift idea. I was so excited when Michelle invited me to guest post on her blog. I had the pleasure of meeting her in Dallas for a conference last month and love her even more than I did before. She is such an amazing person, and needless to say, I am STOKED to be here. Today I am going to share a fun Personalized Christmas Gift Tag project.

Personalized Christmas Gift Tag for Presents

I know Michelle loves photography, and when we talked about what YOU would like to see, we decided upon a photography project. Now I don’t pretend I am an amazing photographer, I literally started shooting in manual mode less than a month ago. I will say it has changed my photography completely, and I am loving it over my old school Auto. I know I still have a lot to learn, but I hope you enjoy these photos and this fun Personalized Gift Tag idea.

Personalized Christmas Gift Tag

To get started, I picked out a few photos of everyone and personalized them with their names and a snowflake. This can be done in Photoshop, but for this project I jumped right into PicMonkey. (If you have never used them, they are an awesome online service that will let you edit you pictures and create fun doodles on them. Portions of the site are free, but you can upgrade for even more.)

Personalized Christmas Picture Tags

Once I had all of my pictures edited and just right, I sent them off to be printed out. I literally just sent them over to my local pharmacy and had them print out about 10 copies of each one. It was less than $10 and they were ready within an hour. After I had my pictures, I created cute little frames by cutting them out with my vinyl cutting machine. You can easily cut out rectangles your self and use them as frames. Or even head over to your local craft store and buy some that are pre-made (in the scrapbook aisle). There are a ton of options, and you can really dress these up, or dress them down.

Picture Frames for Personalized Gift Tags

I love this idea because when the frantic mad rush and search for presents starts on Christmas morning, they will easily be able to recognize which gifts are theirs.

I hope you enjoyed this Personalized Christmas Gift Tag Idea, and if you are ever looking for a fun DIY project, please feel free to hop on over and say HI. Thank you again to Michelle for inviting me over to “play” today. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and safe and happy holiday season.

I just love these, Michelle and Jen. I don't think I've ever doodled with PicMonkey, then actually printed the photo vs. printing online. This will be a fun new experience!

Such an easy idea… and a perfect idea for early readers! I'd even personalize with the favorite colors of each family member (because I'm OCD that way). Love this cute and simple idea!!!

Guess what? One of our co-hosts chose this post as a winner for our hop! You know what I'm thinking? I'm thinking she has great taste ;o) I loved these as well! Let me know if you'd like to co-host our next hop and, if so, feel free to send me your 3 preferred methods for blog hop participants to follow you. I'd need them at your earliest convenience as I start to draft the hop post as early as tomorrow evening. Thanks Michell, and talk to you soon :o)
