Pie for Dinner! 14 Recipes to Please Your Comfort Food Cravings

Sharing is caring!

It’s been a chilly winter in the Northeast. When it’s cold outside, I crave comfort foods. And pie for dinner says comfort food to me!

So when Foodie.com asked me if I wanted to put together a collection of pies in celebration of Pi Day on March 14th, I jumped at the chance. I’m not really a “pie for dessert” person, so there was no question in my mind I was going to put together a savory collection of pies for dinner. I’m always looking for new recipes. I love to cook, but I often fall back on my old standbys.

When I was going through recipes, I tried to include a few that were easy. My kids are teenagers, and our weeknights are often spent on the run with all of their sports practices. Having a few recipes I can put together quickly makes those busy nights run a little more smoothly. But I do get a lot of joy out of cooking, so I don’t want or need for everything to be easy. Basically the criteria for my collection was the recipe had to look and sound delicious. Everyone in this family loves to eat!

To check out my Pie for Dinner collection at the top, use the arrows to scroll through the recipes. If you see one you like, click on the picture. That will bring you back to Foodie.com and you can get the actual recipe.

It’s going to be hard for me to decide which recipe to make first. I think we’ll be having a lot of pie for dinner in March!

Which ones will you try?

Bon Appétit!

Seriously, this reminds me of the fact that when I go to NYC I want to try this meat pie from this authentic Australian restaurant I saw on Unique Eats on Food Network. Michelle, I don't know if I can explain how much I love meat. It's so yummy to me! My favorites are chicken and steak. My favorite fish is salmon. I can't remember what meat they used. Maybe ground beef but it made me want to eat it! Thanks for sharing these awesome looking pies with us!

That sounds good Brittnei! I love meat pies too...there is an Arabic version we get sometimes that we really like.

That chicken tamale pie looks awesome! I'm so happy that you posted savory pies. I'd like to add some more of those to our dinner rotation.
