Laugh Out Loud Funny Blogs to Brighten Your Day

Sharing is caring!

Sometimes I feel like my life is a comedy of errors. We’re a fly-by-the-seat-of-our-pants family. By that, I mean not organized. Here’s a typical example. An hour before we had to leave for my youngest son’s soccer game, he came to me and told me he couldn’t find his jerseys. No big deal I thought to myself…most of the laundry is clean, although it is residing unfolded in baskets in my room, since we never seem to get around to putting laundry away here. Unfortunately though, the jerseys were not in the clean laundry, but rather still balled up in separate sections of the dirty laundry…just my luck! I would have just let him wear them dirty, because he’s a boy, but the stench was so bad that I decided to be nice to his team (and the opposing one) and handwash them. I think I got them to smell a little nicer. I threw them in the dryer, but due to the lack of time, he had to go to the game in a damp jersey. At least I can laugh about my failings as a laundress (among other things).

Then there was The Mother of All Pranks. My boys have really pulled some interesting pranks, but this one takes the cake. I have a feeling that it will probably have you rolling in laughter, and praying your boys NEVER do anything like this!

Speaking of laughter…I’m participating in Being a Wordsmith’s September Sapphire Even Day Blog Challenge and today’s writing prompt is “Guffaw: Talk about two blogs you read that always force a belly laugh out of you.”

Quite honestly, I don’t know if I can only pick two. There are so many funny bloggers out there that crack me up. I myself have a hard time doing funny. So I really appreciate those who can! Since it would be near impossible for me to pick 2, I’m picking 3 instead (and even that I am doing under duress, because I have a lot more favorites). But these three are getting my blog love today. They are all laugh out loud funny.

Laugh Out Loud Funny Blogs

The Dose of Reality always makes my list! Lisa and Ashley are simply hysterical and they feed off of each other. Their most recent post Pinterest Dream Come True #037: Happy Birthday Ashley was a hoot! All I am going to say is BEST. BIRTHDAY. GIFT. EVER. If you haven’t read this one, you need to. We should all be so blessed with such good friends!

From tackling the seriousness of Parkinson’s to tackling the story of where babies come from, Vikki at Laugh Lines has a wit that you will truly enjoy. Whether you leave smiling or laughing so hard you leak (yes, that’s what happens in midlife), I can guarantee you will leave Laugh Lines feeling happy.

Lisa Newlin over at Seriously? never fails to leave me in stitches. Even though this was earlier this summer, Peer Pressure at the Pool: My Harrowing Story was one of my favorites.  More recently she was AM-BUSHED at the Beach, and you won’t believe this story. You can’t make this stuff up!

Enjoy! Start your day off with any one of them and you will have a good day, I promise!

Ha, I've done that with my own clothes. Damp is probably better then stinky - even for boys. :P

I love the Dose Girls! But I'm super excited to check out Laugh Lines and Seriously? I so admire that ability to be funny in writing!

You actually make me feel better about the way you describe your laundry. I'm totally guilty of pulling clean clothes out a basket and not putting them away. Your story about hand washing your son's jersey is too funny. I think you deserve some points for this. You could have just sprayed him with Febreze.

It's called Febreeze my friend. Or if you're afraid that it would irritate his skin I am known do put Downy Wrinkle Releaser on things and stick it in the dryer. And it's not because my clothes have issues. Whatever works when you're in a bind...right?

I love the Dose Girls. I have the other two pulled up on my tabs right now.
