I’ve been looking forward to the summer. No crazy sports schedule. No early morning alarms. No homework in the car.
Our last day of school is finally here! My husband and I are usually on the ball with the summer camp stuff, and we really blew it this year. My hubby forgot to sign our daughter up for a camp that she really looks forward to, and it’s too late now. She’s on the waiting list. The other application for our son’s sleepaway camp that I was responsible for went in super late, but fortunately it worked out ok. So our planning for the summer so far has been less than stellar!!
I’m hoping you all come through for me this week with our Ladies Only Blog Share. I need some inspiration! So far my plans consist of hanging out and working under the umbrella poolside when kids are playing in the water. With this blog share, we are looking for your favorite summer recipes, fun crafts to do with the kids, vacation and staycation ideas, and any other summer inspired ideas! Link up your favorite summer posts – and let’s all share our ideas for fun in the sun!
Once again, here are your hosts / co-hosts!

As your hosts, we’d love to connect with you on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or Google +! Be sure to leave us a note letting us know you are visiting from the Ladies Only Blog Share or #LOBS. We will be happy to return the favor! In addition to our link share, I’d also like to share a few posts I came across this week that I really enjoyed. Here they are, in no particular order.
The Dose of Reality’s Would You Rather: Instantly be at Your Ideal Weight or Have One Million Dollars cracked me up. I guess it had me thinking about swimsuit season and what I can and cannot wear. Enough said.
Then there was 3 Ways to Put the Break into Summer from Mothering from Scratch. This post struck a chord with me. Our summers have gotten so hectic over the last few years to the point where I sometimes feel overwhelmed. During the school year, our schedule is so crazy that I look forward to really relaxing in the summer. I have to figure out the best way to find a balance.
If you’re looking for an easy recipe for the 4th of July, these fun Shrimp Skewers from Secrets from a Momaholic caught my eye. Not only are they really cute, but they are easy to make too!!

Hi Michelle! You seem to have summer all figured out! Some plans are nice and I hope with the blog hop you will get some great ideas. But I love to just enjoy the days and relax sometimes and just smell the roses :-) Before starting a family I was super-planner so I try to have the balance of relaxation with a little planned trips, etc.
