I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for Friday!
It’s been a hectic week, and an oddly strange one weather wise…yesterday I think the high was 80 degrees. You’d never know we were in October. Sometimes we have snow this time of year. Then again, all the weather predictions I’m hearing for winter are saying it’s going to be a very cold winter, so I guess I won’t complain about an 80 degree day in October!
It did make for good spectator weather for our cross country conference championships, which were held yesterday. The pressure was on for my son’s team, as their team has won the conference championship 12 times in the past 14 years. Yesterday made 13 in 15 years as they pulled out a squeaker, winning by 4 points! I have to say I am really impressed with these kids. They work so hard, and they never give up…yesterday 4 of them were in the top 10 of the race. I’m incredibly proud of my son as well, who came away with a win at the conference championship! Here he is coming up the final hill.
Even with the weather feeling more like summer for the last few days, everyone still seems to be in full on pumpkin mode. If you are looking for pumpkin recipes and ideas, last week’s party was full of them.
I’m sharing my favorite recipes and DIY with you this week!

Ready for the party?
We’re not really a rules-type party. But here’s what we do ask.
1. Link up your favorite recipes and projects from your own blog. Roundups are fine as long as they include links to the recipes or DIY projects. Please DO NOT link a post without a recipe, project, craft, or tutorial.
2. We’d be truly grateful if you shared our party to other food and DIY blog friends so others can join in the fun! Tweet us. Share us on Facebook (the party will go up on my page on Thursday evening, if you’d like to share from there). However you can help us spread the word, we appreciate!
3. It’s not a requirement of course, but if you can, try to visit another link or two and leave a thoughtful comment. Give someone a shout out on social media. Use the hashtag #FoodieFriDIY…we’re trying to grow a community for all of us, and it’s always nice to make new friends.
4. We’d love it if you’d follow us on Pinterest.

Don’t forget after you get done linking up to drop by my Facebook page and share your favorite recipes or DIY project that you have linked up. I will try my best to show your post some extra love…please be sure to share either the link or the number in the link up so it’s easy for me to find it!
Let’s get this party started!

I must live in the same area as you because we are going through a heat wave right now. I thought the cold was coming today and I overly dressed my boys for school (I think its 80 degrees right now). Congratulations to your son! And thank you for a great party!
