Game Day Party Food at Foodie Fridays and DIY no 29

FoodieFridays-Button3-300x300

Welcome back to #FoodieFridays!  We like to think this is one of the best places to share your favorite recipes, and find new ones to try!

We’re excited to announce some big changes to Foodie Fridays this week!

Feel free to go link up, but then scroll back up because this is important stuff and you are going to want to read it!

Name Change

Foodie Fridays is about to become Foodie Fridays and DIY!  Many of the other food parties are accepting DIY as well now, and so many of you have been linking up DIY projects, that we just decided that it makes more sense to add DIY than it does to keep it to just recipes.

A Group Board for Foodie Friday & DIY Participants

We’d also like to change the Foodie Fridays (and now DIY) board to a group board and open it up to all of you! After you link up, add or schedule your links to the board.

There will be a few rules, which will all be listed on the board. They’re pretty standard. Spammers will be deleted though, so please stick to the rules.

For those of you reading this now, after you link up, send me an email at [email protected] to request your invite. You must be following me on Pinterest in order for me to add you, and you will need to also follow all of the other co-hosts on Pinterest as well.

In the subject line of your request, put: Requesting Invite – Foodie Fridays and DIY Group Board.

A Beefed Up Features and Faves Board

As you know, we all have features each week. But many times we go with a theme and some of our favorites get left out. Favorites as well as features will be pinned to this special board from now on!

Facebook Community

Our Facebook Community is just about ready to go…we are adding members now. This will be a place where you can promote your recipes and projects, and we will offer a daily all participation boost thread. If you are interested in joining us, please request an invite here: Foodie Fridays and DIY Boost Group

Sharing

One thing that will NOT change is I am going to continue to promote you the same way I have been, sharing on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, G+, Yummly, and StumbleUpon.

I will continue to guarantee if you stop by my Facebook page with one of the recipes or DIY projects that you linked up at the party, I will share that link on some form of social media.

My features and faves will get even more special attention with even more shout outs and shares to some of my favorite group boards as well.

If you like this party, we’d really love it if you’d help us spread the word! It has grown tremendously over the last few months and we know we have YOU to thank! Tweet us. Share another recipe or project from the link up and add the hashtag #FoodieFriDIY. Let’s build a community here!

[Tweet “Link up your #recipes and #DIY at #FoodieFriDIY! @adishofdailylife loves to SHARE!”]

Now for my features…game day party food! There are a lot more features than usual this week because with “the Big Game” coming up, it’s hard not to think about party food. And there were so many great appetizer recipes linked up this week too that I just couldn’t resist.  Game Day Party Food From left to right, top to bottom:

We’re not really a rules-type link party.  But here’s what we do ask.

1. Link up your favorite recipes and projects from your own blog. Roundups are fine as long as they include links to the recipes. Please DO NOT link a post without a recipe or a project, and we would appreciate you linking up different posts week to week …we reserve the right to delete duplicates.

2. We’d be truly grateful if you shared our party to other food blog friends so others can join in the fun!

3. It’s not a requirement of course, but if you can, try to visit another link or two and leave a thoughtful comment. Give someone a shout out on social media. Use the hashtag #FoodieFridaysDIY…we’re trying to grow a community for all of us, and it’s always nice to make new friends.

4. If you’d like to include our button on your sidebar or your link party page, or even a link back on the individual post you linked up, we’d love it, but again, there is no requirement to do so.

Michelle, I just added my latest sourdough bread (link #346) to go along with all that game-day chili and other spicy casseroles! Also emailed you about joining the Pinterest group board (not that I really know what that means!).
