LOCK IN Peace of Mind from Appliance Repairs with EquityLock® Protector {Giveaway}

Sharing is caring!

Disclosure: EquityLock® supplied me with a six month subscription to EquityLock® Protector for sharing this information with you. No other compensation was received. Before making a purchase, please do your own research.

If you’re a regular reader here, you might remember my post about The Bright Side of Household Breakdowns. We have definitely been through our share of homeowner woes this year. I thought we were through the worst of it, but then our hot water heater broke last week! Thank goodness it’s summer! So far this year, in addition to the hot water heater repair, we’ve also replaced a dishwasher and had the stove fixed; we still need to replace our washing machine and fix the garage door. Let me tell you, none of this is cheap. And of course, we didn’t plan for any of it either! Does anyone ever really plan for a major appliance to break?!

Help is on the way though, if you have EquityLock® Protector. Wondering what EquityLock® Protector is? I’d never heard of it either until the folks from EquityLock® Protector contacted me. With the EquityLock® Protector plan, you’ll safeguard up to $50,000 of the value of your property, as well as protecting your most essential appliances (clothes washer, clothes dryer, kitchen refrigerator, built-in microwave, dishwasher, and range/oven/cooktop) for up to $1,500 per 12-month period. EquityLock® Protector will provide repair or, if necessary, replacement of each covered appliance. Check out their website for more information on how it all works and LOCK IN peace of mind from appliance repairs!

A few things to note: There is a $50 deductible that applies to each service request, but obviously $50 is preferable to paying for the entire repair! Had I known about this program a few months ago, I could have saved a substantial amount of money! There is a 30 day waiting period for all new contracts, but your appliances are covered no matter how old they are! The program includes access to over 25,000 fully licensed and insured national and regional service contractors. If you have older appliances like mine, this could be a worthwhile investment!

EquityLock® Protector has an app where you can take the Lock Your Appliances! quiz and download the 6 Tips to Keep Your House Happy printable sheet. You’ll learn the best way to take care of your appliances, as well as tips and tricks to keep your home in great shape! Do you know how to tell whether your gas stove is working efficiently? How to remove odors from your microwave? Check out their app and find out!

Normally the price for EquityLock® Protector is $79.95 per month. But YOU have a chance to WIN a 6 month subscription for yourself (over $470 in value), as well as a $15 EquityLock Home Improvement Cash Card to use at home improvement stores! This giveaway is open to US residents 18 years or older. Winner must reply within 24 hours of notification or another winner will be chosen. Good luck!

All of the tips are great but I honestly don't do any of them. I'm gong to work harder at being on top of home maintenance/repairs. Tomorrow.

I like the tip about cleaning your refrigerator coils. I just don't know how to do it.

I cleaned the refrigerator coils (at least I think that was what I was cleaning) when we had to pull out our fridge about a year ago when one of our cats chased a mouse behind it. The funny thing was the mouse ended up escaping even with 4 cats and my husband and I (although I was cleaning)!

Clean the condenser coils on the fridge! just a simple thing, but I never do it! This is a cool thing, I've often wondered what we would do if our washer and dryer were to go out!

Ugh - our washer did go out! It seems like half this house has gone out in the last few months!! Good luck!

This is a great idea, we used something similar for our washer/dryer and really liked the program. Definitely going to look into this! Thanks for sharing.
