I usually run our giveaways on Fridays, but due to the timing of the holiday, we are changing it up this week! I already had a post scheduled so today there are two posts going live! One of my new favorite local businesses here in New Milford is Villarina’s*, a gourmet pasta shop in Lore’s Plaza. As some of you may know, I stumbled upon it by accident after a visit to Family First Chiropractic and Wellness Center next door, and have been “dinner shopping” there ever since. Villarina’s offers a great selection of homemade pastas and ravioli, sauces, and pre-made dinners, as well as gourmet foods. Our family favorite is the stuffed shells, topped with the Vodka sauce…oh so delicious!! If you can, get the Vodka sauce fresh…it’s even better that way! We’re huge fans of their garlic bread as well!
You’ll also find the customer service at Villarina’s to be above and beyond. I mentioned this in a post back in November when I first started shopping there. Adam is one of the nicest and friendliest shop owners around. I don’t know about you, but I prefer to shop at a local business where the owner knows my name over a chain any day!
Adam and I were talking the last time I was in (picking up our beloved Vodka sauce) and decided to do a “local giveaway” on my blog. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to share Villarina’s heart shaped pasta! What a fun way to put a little romance into your dinner!
The lucky winner of our giveaway will receive:
- 1 box of 12 heart shaped ravioli
- 1 pint of sauce (fresh / frozen / jar)
- 1 piece of garlic bread
- 2 small cannoli

- Giveaway will conclude Tuesday, February 12th at midnight – no entries after that.
- You must be 18 to enter.
- You MUST be able to pick up your dinner at Villarina’s Pasta Shop in New Milford, Connecticut on Wednesday 2/13/2013 or Thursday 2/14/2013 anytime between 10 am – 7 pm.

*It’s a family affair at Villarina’s, with three of the five Connecticut locations owned by members of the same family! Sisters Sue and Joanne (Adam’s mother in law) opened their Southbury store, located at 22 Poverty Road, 15 years ago; and their brother Steven opened his Newtown location, located at 187 South Main Street, 11 years ago. Adam opened to the doors to his New Milford store in October of 2009.
