As you may have noticed, my Dish of Daily Life Facebook page and blog have undergone some changes with the appearance of my new logo! When I first started my blog, I wanted to “feel” things out and see where it took me. As I’ve evolved, I felt like I wanted a character that represented my life…a work at home mom with a passion for photos and storytelling, trying to juggle a busy family schedule.
To create my new logo, I set up an account with a company called 99Designs. You write a “design brief” explaining what you are looking for, and designers “compete” with each other to create your design. I was fortunate to have 3 designers that sent me logo designs that I really liked on the first go around! Feeling most in tune with their concepts, they were also the three that I selected to continue into the final round. Throughout the process, you are allowed to offer feedback, and designers can resubmit changes and new designs. In the final round, you select finalists who then have the opportunity to fine-tune their designs. Throughout the process, you can send “polls” to your friends, to help you decide on your favorites. After you make a final decision, you pick a winner, and the handover of the design takes place.
As we continued further along into the “contest” and the final round, one of the designs just started to feel “right.” The designer, Rosi, seemed to be very in tune with my needs, and throughout the entire process, she was professional, helpful, and very responsive…truly, a pleasure to work with! She created exactly what I wanted…even though I wasn’t exactly sure what I was looking for! Thank you Rosi, for being so patient with me in creating a design I truly love!

Love your new look. I particularly like your badge/logo with the woman juggling everything and the soccer ball underfoot. From what I've read about you so far it seems to encompass what your life is like.
