South of the Border Recipes at #FoodieFridays 12 {where every link is pinned!}

Welcome back to Foodie Fridays! This is the place to share your best recipes, and find new ones to try!

We’re growing again…we had 153 recipe links last week! Thank you to all who participated!

If you’re new here, we go live on Thursday evening at 9 PM EST and the link party stays open until midnight Tuesday morning.

We pin EVERY recipe that gets linked up, so please feel free to share your favorite recipes from your blog each week. We’d really love it if you’d help us spread the word too!

[Tweet “Get PINNED at #FoodieFridays…link up your favorite recipes TODAY! #linkparty”]

Every week we also each share our features. But even if you weren’t featured, you might have noticed us sharing on Twitter, Facebook, G+ and StumbleUpon! Follow us and watch for the hashtag #FoodieFridays to see what we’re sharing. We do try to share as many of your recipes as possible on social media…just another nice perk for you at #FoodieFridays!

This week I am trying something different though. Leave me a comment below and let me know which recipe you shared (the name or the number) and I GUARANTEE you will get a shout out on some form of social media from me!

If you’re featured, you’ll get even more shout outs!

On to my features…

I’ve had South of the Border recipes on my mind all week. Well, that’s not completely true. That type of food is pretty much always on my mind. Mexican, Tex-Mex, Southwestern food…I like it all.  Given the choice of guacamole or brownies, I will pick guacamole 9 times out of 10. Really.

This week, I made slow roasted tomato salsa, Roasted Tomato, Corn and Shrimp Quesadillas, and Love Bakes Good Cakes’ Jalapeno Popper Chicken Taquitos. I make guacamole two or three times a week. It’s my daughter’s favorite afterschool snack. The salsa, quesadillas, and guacamole are family favorites, and everyone loved the taquitos so much that I’m going to be trying some other variations.

So, it’s no wonder I kept coming back to the recipes with a South of the Border flair. Here’s a few of my favorites:

South of the Border Recipes

Pepper Jack Cheese Sticks, from Food and Happiness

Rosemary, Chipotle, Raspberry, Balsamic Chicken, from The Kitchen Chopper

Jalapeno Popper Chicken Taquitos, from Love Bakes Good Cakes

Shredded Chicken Baked Taquitos, from Culinary Ginger

Can you tell I’m a little obsessed with taquitos right now?!

CONGRATULATIONS also go out to A Dash of Sanity, whose White Chocolate Caramel Snickerdoodles were the top clicked link! They look pretty amazing, don’t they?

If you’d like to pin any of these features, PLEASE remember to click through to the site where the recipe actually lives!

The rules are simple!

Link up your favorite recipes from your own blog. If there is no recipe, we won’t pin it. Please do not repeat the same posts week after week. We WILL delete repeat posts. Also, no link parties, please, even if they are related to food.

Share the party so others can join the fun. Tweet us or share us on Facebook. We would truly be grateful! Use the hashtag #FoodieFridays.

Please visit at least 2-3 links and leave a thoughtful comment. Let them know you are visiting from #FoodieFridays. It’s always nice to make new friends.

If you’d like to include our button on your sidebar or your link party page, or even a link back on the individual post you linked up, we’d love it, but there is no requirement to do so.

We’d love to connect with you on social media, but again, it is not a requirement of the party. If you’d like to check out our Pinterest boards though, we think you might find some great pins though!

I`m linking today for the first time. My links are #140,141. And because at this very moment I have so many tomatoes from cherry, roma and beefsteak tomatoes, that I`m taking the idea of your roasted tomatoes salsa, and do a copycat salsa. Thanks.
